When used in conjunction with the CNU-700 Command Network unit, the MSU-950 Master Set-up Unit provides centralised set-up and control of multiple cameras. The compact control panel layout occupies little space in a control desk, while the adoption of a colour LCD touch screen helps to simplify the operation of its sophisticated control system. The MSU also has the ability to store data such as scene files in a standard memory stick. Control of up to 6 cameras is possible, while the CNU-700 can be expanded to 12 cameras with an expansion board. Several CNU-700s can be connected together to allow a large system (up to 96 cameras) to be controlled from a single location.

Multi camera control
Camera selection switches are provided to access up to 12 cameras. An “Expand” switch allows the maximum number of cameras to be increased to 96, if required.
Simple control interface
The combination of touch-sensitive colour LCD panel, digital rotary encoder controls, and a function selector to quickly access various switch functions, provides a comprehensive yet intuitive control interface, requiring very little operator training.
Comprehensive Filing System
The MSU-950 includes the ability to store frequently used camera settings in scene files, which can be quickly recalled when required. Settings are stored within the camera head, and can be transferred between cameras if required. Scene files may also be stored on memory stick for additional security.
“Standard” Button
The MSU-950 includes a “Standard” button, which quickly returns all cameras to a known, reference setting. This reference setting can also be customised by a user to suit their individual requirements, and stored in a reference file in the camera head
Controls various Sony camera types
When connected to the MSU through the appropriate Camera Control Unit (CCU), various camera types can be controlled through a single panel. The MSU-950 is compatible with BVP-E30 series and HDC-1500 series cameras, as well as the older BVP-500/550/570, BVP-E10, BVP-950 and HDC-900 series cameras.
