The Panasonic AG-HPX500E 2/3" Shoulder-Mounted Camcorder with interchangeable lenses can record in any of the HD and SD formats (1080i/720p/576i/480i) that are used around the world.
Panasonic P2HD 1080i and 720p HD recording format for superior image quality.
50HZ/60Hz selection fuction allows 1080/50i & 720/50p HD recordin in PAL areas.
SD (480i/576i) recording in DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO or DV Multi codec.
Variable frame rate recording (in 720p) provides film-like low-speed or high-speed recording. 720p native mode achieved a speed effect without requiring additional equipment. A VariCam compatible 720p over 60p mode is also provided.
The AG-HPX500 provides 4x P2 Memory Card Slots (which means switching the active slot whilst recording is possible), as the camera has no moving parts it offers exeptional resistance to impact, vibration & temperature change.
This provides immediat recording, with no need fo cueing. There's no possiblity of accidentally overwriting previous data. Shot marker can be added to each clip.
The AG-HPX500E provides 4 audio input channels inc Mic & Line inputs. Also 16-bit linear PCM audio which assures outstanding sound quality.
IEEE1394 interface allows uploading direct from the camera to a non-linear editor & production of backup copies.
